NOT TRUE TO SIZE, BUT BEAUTIFULLY MADE Jun 09, 2008
Wow. I had the opposite experience from the other reviewer who found these shoes too big; I ordered a size 7 and it was 1/2 size too small! I got two other ASGI's in size 7 1/2 and they both fit beautifully, so it seems they are made small across the line.

On the good side, the leather on the Inspire is practically waterproof, which is a miracle for suede shoes! I spilled coffee on mine and no stains remained! The sole, while eventually comfortable and wonderful for arch support, DOES take time to get used to-- I almost twisted my ankle twice in the first few days of wearing it!

When it comes to looks, these shoes are cute.
When it comes to fit, well...., that's were things become a little "iffy".
First of all, they are not true to size, i spent time at macy's trying on the swing, classic, faith and inspire loafer and i realized they are all at least half a size bigger than it says.
For the faith loafer, a half a size smaller was still a little bit big, not big enough to for me to go to the next half size below it, but big enough to make my feet slip out when walking in them.

Half a size smaller for the Inspire loafer fits very well, a little teeny bit snug but i'm sure you can break them in. They ARE comfortable, and cute. I've actually heard they stretch when you wear them for sometime. I know someone who's a nine but got an 8 in these shoes and they fit perfectly. I suggest you try them on at macy's to see if you'll need a 1/2 size smaller or a full size smaller before ordering online because they are cheaper on amazon than in the stores.

Also, these shoes are mediums only. I'm a medium so i thought the fit was perfect.It's very true to width so if you have wide feet, i think you might find them narrow.
Too sum it up, they are cute, comfortable for the ones that fit, true to width but not true to length so ordering half a size smaller should work.

Update: i just got the wine colored shoe 1/2 size smaller and it fits perfectly. And i'll stress again that asgi's are strictly M width, a little more towards a B width which is a tad narrower. if you're wide, you'll find them tight. Otherwise, i've 4 pairs or more pairs of different kinds of ASGIs in 1/2 size smaller sizes and they fit perfect. I wear a 7.5M for merrells, skechers, naturilizers and easy spirits and even adidas but i get 7M for these. Macy's don't have these anymore so go to Nordstrom to try them out before you order online. At the current promotion, i'm picking up 2 more pairs. These inspire loafers are BEYOND CUTE!!!!
i just got a 7M and gave them to my mom. They fit me perfectly but it took a little effort to get her feet into them.Anyway, these leathers stretch. Now, i can't walk in them anymore cuz they're too loose around my feet but she feels comfortable in them now So i guess if you're wide, you can get them anyway. i thought the only asgis that stretches is the thong sandal but this proves otherwise.

I love these ASGI Inspire Loafers! I just bought the pair online based on looks, but they turned out to be very comfortable and great for walking all day.

These shoes a beautiful and well made. I was so sad I had to send them back. I wish I wasn't so hard to fit. I would highly recommend.
