 Nice boots but.......... May 03, 2008
Nice boots....one problem I ordered 7M and they sent 7W. I won't bother to send them back, too much hassle. I guess I'll just wear thick socks. I would have given a 5 star rating for the boots themselves, but gave a lower rating due to the wrong size.

I fell in love with the cute design and bought a pair of chooka rainboots on impulse for $55. For the first few weeks, they offered adequate protection, but the thin lining rubbed terribly against my ankles and made my shins sweat. They also gave me thick blisters on the souls of my feet, but at least they kept me dry. Then, several months after my purchase (and right around when it was too late to return them), my left boot filled up with water when I was out for a walk. It seems that the seal had given out. I hadn't done anything to cause it--it's obviously a manufacturing defect. I wish I'd gone with the far cheaper pair of Target boots my friend got. I'd have about $30 more in my pocket and dry feet. Live and learn.

I ordered these boots because I walk to work and live in a very rainy area--strangely enough, we can't buy stylish rain boots here in my town. Lots of people have the hearts, polka dots or skulls, but I went for the great big koi since I've never seen anyone else here with them. Every time I wear them out someone compliments them.
They run true to size and keep my feet dry. Other than the extremely strong plastic smell--which I hope diminishes with time--they are perfect.

The boots are so stylish and no one has anything like them. They are true to their size, I'm a 7 and I got a 7 and they fit great. The only downfall was that the inner sole wasn't glued down properly and I have to sometimes slide it into the boot to the right spot.

This is a great boot, comfortable and stylish. The fit at the top is a little looser than your average rainboot, and it's a little shorter as well. Otherwise it great, rubber is soft so it doen't pinch..
