The Alexandra boot from Diego di Lucca is beyond sexy. It features a suede upper with lustrous crocodile-patterned embossing, in a sultry, take-no-prisoners style.

What would I have wanted to know before I purchased the product? Jan 09, 2008 I would want to know that these aren't leather at all, but fabric. If there is any leather in this boot it must be about a micron thick. The upper is an inner microfiber fabric with an outer patent coating. In between the coating is a suede like plush. The heel is lower and very comfortable, but the sole is a very cheap man made material. For those of you with a wide calf, beware! This top close must be about 13.5 inches at the most. I dont like the idea of bootmakers naming their company in an Italian sounding way and then making the boot in Brazil (as these are). Bottom line, these are very affordable boots on sale at $85 but don't expect too much. They shouldn't be priced over $100 for the materials and the leather?/Italian name might be misleading to consumers. A tight fit on the calf-means that they wont fit larger legs= I give them two stars; one star for affordability and the other because an authentic alligator boot would cost thousands for this look! Cheers!
